Accommodation

ARCOM 2024 is a non-residential conference.

We know that most ARCOM conference delegates prefer to arrange their own accommodation. Typically, most people will use commercial accommodation booking sites to book their conference accommodation.

You could try for example:

We are however aware that hotel accommodation in central London is relatively expensive. For ARCOM 2024, we have arranged for some more wallet-friendly accommodation for those of you that want a cheaper alternative.

We have reserved a number of rooms in one of the University’s student residences through the LBSU’s central accommodation office. The student residence we are using is David Bomberg House. At the beginning of September, the students will not be around, and you are likely to be allocated rooms in flats with other ARCOM delegates. This student residence is within an easy 10-minute walk of the LSBU campus.

The address is:
David Bomberg House, 282-302 Borough High Street, London, SE1 1JJ

The rooms we have available are single ensuite student rooms. These are arranged in flats containing four or five rooms with a shared kitchen/social space. The residences are fully staffed by LSBU employees and are managed directly by the University.

You can find more details about the residence here:
https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/student-life/accommodation/our-residences/david-bomberg-house

The cost of these rooms is £65 per night. Breakfast is not included. We are expecting that everyone choosing this option will want accommodation on Monday and Tuesday night (Monday 2nd & Tuesday 3rd September). If you are arriving on Sunday, however, and need accommodation on the Sunday night, there is a separate option to add Sunday (Sunday 1st September) as well.

Please do not contact the residence to book rooms. The rooms can only be booked when you register for conference via the link in MyARCOM.

If you do want to book one of these rooms, please select the appropriate option during conference registration. The cost of the rooms will be added to your conference fee and be presented as a separate amount on your invoice.
